In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Lord Jesus, in your preaching, you have shown the love you have for children; I am sad for having sinned and offended you. I love you, and I know that, with your help, I can be better. I walk with you on the way to the cross, hoping to follow you better, and offering my prayer for all the suffering children in the world.
FIRST STATION: Jesus Is Condemned to Death.

Leader: We adore Thee, O Christ, and bless Thee.
All: Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
1. A reading from the holy Gospel according to John (19:13-16)
Pilate ordered Jesus to be taken out and said to the Jews, "Here is your king," but they shouted at him, "Take him away, take him away, and crucify him!" Pilate said to them, "But how am I going to crucify their king?" The princes of the priests replied, "We have no king but Caesar." Then Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified.
2. Meditation
Jesus was wrongly condemned. When people do not have basic services, then social injustice is evident. Think of someone who has no health service, and pray for them.
3. Let us pray
Help me, Lord, to always be fair.
Our Father...
SECOND STATION: Jesus Bears His Cross .

Leader: We adore Thee, O Christ, and bless Thee.
All: Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
1. A reading from the holy Gospel according to John (19:16-17)
Then Pilate handed him over to be crucified. They took Jesus, and while carrying his cross, he went out to Calvary.
2. Meditation
By carrying his cross, Jesus bears all the sufferings of people. Therefore, seeing the cross is a sign that things can improve with trust in God. Human suffering shows that we have not accepted the will of God, which is that we love each other.
3. Let us pray
Lord, help me to be obedient, so as not to make your cross heavy.
Our Father...
THIRD STATION: Jesus Falls the First Time.

Leader: We adore Thee, O Christ, and bless Thee.
All: Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
1. A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew (7:21)
"Not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."
2. Meditation
Jesus falls under the weight of false witnesses and false promises. We, who are children of God, cause his falls when we are distracted by life, and we do not give Him the right place.
3. Let us pray
Lord, teach me to pray every day and to serve you with love.
Our Father...
FOURTH STATION: Jesus Meets His Mother.

Leader: We adore Thee, O Christ, and bless Thee.
All: Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
1. A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke (2:34-35)
Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: "This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel and to be a sign that will be spoken against so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too."
2. Meditation
The Mother of Jesus suffers a lot when she sees her son on the way to the cross. At this time, let us think of mothers who suffer because they see their children involved in dangerous situations.
3. Let us pray
Lord, help me reject all evil.
Our Father...
FIFTH STATION: Jesus Is Helped by Simon.

Leader: We adore Thee, O Christ, and bless Thee.
All: Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
1. A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke (23:26)
When they were taking Jesus to Calvary, they seized a certain Simon of Cyrene, who was returning from the field, and they loaded him with the cross to carry it behind Jesus.
2. Meditation
We, too, can be Cyrenians who help Jesus carry the weight of the cross. He told us that every time we do works with those in need, He does them to Himself. This is a way of bearing witness to our faith.
3. Let us pray
Lord, I promise to value what I have and to show solidarity.
Our Father...
SIXTH STATION: Jesus and Veronica.

Leader: We adore Thee, O Christ, and bless Thee.
All: Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
1. Psalm 27:7-9
Listen to me, Lord, I am calling you;
have pity answer me.
I hear in my heart: seek my face.
I will seek your face Lord; do not hide your face from me.
2. Meditation
Seeking the face of the Lord means recognizing him in the actions of every day. His image printed on a canvas is only a reminder that his total dedication to love has been engraved in our minds and hearts.
3. Let us pray
Lord, teach me to do your will.
Our Father...
1 .A reading from the Prophet Isaiah (53:3-9)
A man of suffering familiar with pain, like one from whom people hide their faces, contemptible, and we did not take him into account. And, yet, it was our ailments that he bore and the pain that he endured! We considered him scourged, wounded by God, and humiliated.
2. Meditation
We see the fallen Lord as one who cannot continue walking by the weight of the cross. We help him rise up every time we reach out practicing the works of mercy.
3. Let us pray
Lord teach me to recognize and help others in their needs.
Our Father...

A large crowd of people and women followed Jesus, beating their chests and crying for him. But Jesus, turning to them, said: "Daughters of Jerusalem! Do not cry for me; rather, cry for yourselves and for your children."
2. Meditation
This station reflects the cry of so many women who suffer for their children. Reflecting on pain of discrimination and inequality, let us pray that they have good opportunities.
3. Let us pray
Lord, I promise to value women more.
Our Father...

1. A reading from the First Letter of Peter (2:24)
He carried his sins on his body on the wood of the cross, so that, dead to our sins, we could begin a holy life. And his wounds have healed us.
2. Meditation
To not make the cross of Christ heavy, it is necessary that we truly seek holiness. It must be a reflection of our trust in God.
3. Let us pray
Lord, I want to be holy, give me the strength of your spirit.
Our Father...
TENTH STATION: Jesus Is Stripped of His Garments .

Leader: We adore Thee, O Christ, and bless Thee.
All: Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
1. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John (19:23-24)
The soldiers ... took his clothes, making four parts, one for each soldier, and pulled the tunic aside. It was a seamless tunic, all woven from top to bottom. And they said to each other: "Let's not tear it, but let's throw lots to see who gets it."
2. Meditation
Jesus is stripped of his clothes to strip him of his dignity. Every time we cling to fashion and judge others by what they wear, we are rejecting the dignity of the children of God.
3. Let us pray
Lord, help me to live with simplicity and humility.
Our Father...
ELEVENTH STATION: Jesus Is Nailed to the Cross.

Leader: We adore Thee, O Christ, and bless Thee.
All: Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
1. A reading from the holy Gospel according to John (19:18-22)
They crucified him and with him two others, one on each side, and in the middle, Jesus. And Pilate wrote a sign and put it on top of the cross; in it was written: "Jesus, the Nazarene, the king of the Jews."
2. Meditation
The hammer that nails Jesus to the cross reminds us that every time we choose idols, we drill his feet and hands again. For with this, we reject the message that he left us in the new commandment: Love God, above all things and your neighbor as yourself.
3. Let us pray
Lord, I want to live facing you; I love you.
Our Father...
TWELFTH STATION: Jesus Dies on the Cross.

Leader: We adore Thee, O Christ, and bless Thee.
All: Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
1. A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew (27:45-50,54)
In the middle of the afternoon, Jesus shouted: "My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?" Upon hearing it, some of those who were there said: "This man is calling Elijah" (...) Jesus gave another loud cry and breathed out his spirit. The centurion and his men, who were guarding Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and what was happening, said terrified: "Surely, he was the Son of God."
2. Meditation
We call ourselves Christians because we profess our faith in Jesus as the anointed one, the Christ, the Messiah. That means that we seek to imitate him in his obedience to the Father.
3. Let us pray
Lord teach me to recognize and obey the will of the Father.
Our Father...
THIRTEENTH STATION: Jesus Is Taken Down from the Cross.

Leader: We adore Thee, O Christ, and bless Thee.

1. A reading from the holy Gospel according to John (19:32-34)
When the soldiers arrived at Jesus, as they saw him dead, they did not break his legs. Instead, one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.
2. Meditation
At the foot of the cross, Mary observed everything and testified that her son, whom she received in her hands, was the Son of God. At the foot of the sacraments arise, the water represents our baptism and the blood the Eucharist.
3. Let us pray
Lord, I ask you that I can live my baptismal commitment.
Our Father...
FOURTEENTH STATION: Jesus Is Laid in the Tomb.

Leader: We adore Thee, O Christ, and bless Thee.
All: Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
1. A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew (27:59-61)
Joseph of Arimathea took the body, wrapped it in a clean sheet, and placed it in the new tomb that he had cut in the rock; then he rolled a large stone to the entrance of the tomb and left. Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were there, sitting in front of the tomb.
2. Meditation
Jesus was placed in the grave, and the people who carried him became witnesses to the Resurrection. Each one of us also becomes a witness when we serve God, trust in Him, and remain vigilant waiting.
3. Let us pray
I hope Lord in the Resurrection, and I pray for all the people who have died.
Our Father...
